Held every week, “Game Development” presents three-hour
programs that are held twice daily. We focus on the
fundamentals of the game of golf, including basic swing
techniques and short game instruction. Golfers are invited
to practice and learn their game under the supervision and
instruction of our Advanced Lesson Academy of Golf
teaching professionals. A low student-to-teacher ratio
allows for individual training and equal attention for all
participants.
The “Game Development” program also promotes golf interest
among youth.
ALA has also established a junior
development golf program for qualifying youth, eighteen
years and under. Our goal is to teach the game of golf as
a team sport in an
effort to aid local schools in the establishment of
programs that foster a higher level of Competitiveness.
ALA intends to promote the development of golf as a means
of healthful recreation, physical fitness, and good
sportsmanship. We also intend to acquire university golf
scholarships for deserving minority and life-long sport
underprivileged high school graduates.
Disabled Golfer Program
Lightfoot believes that students with disabilities
should be provided every opportunity to seek adventure and
fulfill their personal challenges. We have designed a
program in which our instructors can go to any location
(gymnasiums, parking lots, classrooms, schoolyards) and
set up swing cages and putting, chipping, and pitching
greens facilitated with netting and video diagnostic
equipment.
